Need to relax and reduce stress? Forest bathing could be the solution for your well-being.
After a busy day, your body tends to relax as you sink into the couch, but your mind continues to run at full speed, especially if you pull out your phone and social media or switch on the TV. Forest bathing breaks this pattern and allows you to pause.

1 / Content
Welcome to our forest bathing session, a time for relaxation and presence in nature. The session includes a calm, guided stroll in nature, where we stop to perform various relaxation exercises that help us engage with nature through all our senses. The forest bathing session concludes with a voluntary discussion where we share our experiences and reflections. We then finish by enjoying tea or coffee around the campfire, or in an alternative setting if there is a fire ban.

4 / What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing, or "shinrin-yoku" as it is called in Japanese, is a method for relaxation and deepening one's connection with nature. It involves spending time in the forest and using all your senses to take in the surroundings, which promotes both physical and mental health. By slowing down, breathing in the fresh forest air, listening to the sounds of nature, and feeling the calmness of the forest, you can reduce stress, improve concentration, and increase your well-being. Forest bathing is about being present in the moment and appreciating the simplicity and beauty of nature.
5 / Nature reduces stress and improves mental health
A 2020 review study concluded that spending time in nature, such as forest bathing, has these effects:
Levels of stress hormones decrease (cortisol, adrenaline, and noradrenaline).
The risk of cardiovascular diseases decreases.
The risk of depression and other mental health issues decreases.
